Step by Step with Anne Marie

Good morning a step by step layout from Anne Marie today.

I have a box of odd photos that for one reason or another were printed and then not used. So I collected a random assortment of me and had a bit of fun trying out a painting technique. Always on the lookout for inspiration, would you believe I actually found this design on the wrapper of a sanitary napkin! LOL J Too much information? Hey, when inspiration strikes you don’t ask questions… you just go with it!

I used a bamboo skewer to roll the paint onto my cardstock and then dipped a plastic ruler in black paint to create the messy stripes. I like the contrast of black against the bright yellow and pink colour palette. I love these pendant circles (there is a similar one in squares too) which is why, once again, we have “retro” circle photos. How long has it been since you cut a photo into a circle? I also added a few glass beads for a bit of added interest and used stickers, a stencil and YCW alphas for the “me me ME” title.

This Life Is Pretty Amazing

Hello, there!  This is my first post for Your Creative Wings as a Creative Team member☺  I've been having a wonderful time playing with the chipboard and am sharing this page today.
I've used two pieces of chipboard for this page:
Feathers on a stick and a Doily
I love a banner style design, so the feather chipboard was perfect.  The chipboard was cut in two so I could place a piece on each side of the photo.  I've stamped onto the chipboard with versa-mark ink and a doily stamp, then painted over with a DecoArt sealer.

To make the doily a little feature on the page, I've punched out a circle in pattern paper and added it to the chipboard.  Then I've made a faux flair by punching out a smaller circle from pattern paper and added a clear raised sticker.
Here's a closer look at the feathers with the stamping.  The sealer I've used has is crystal glitter by DecoArt and gives a nice shiny finish to the chipboard.

I have another page to share very soon.
Thanks for popping by ♥

Introducing......

Good Morning we have some great news today. We are adding to the Your Creative Wings design  team family. Whats better than that?  Introducing Chantelle Huizenga.

Hi my name is Chantelle and I’m a crafty mum, married and have been blessed with four handsome boys.

We live by the sea along the South-West coast of WA.  I’ve been crafting for about fifteen years and love preserving memories and telling the story through scrapbooking.  My family are often the subjects of my pages.

I love to include stamping and lately watercolour paints.  I’m excited to be creating for Your Creative Wings and look forward to providing inspiration with their products.

So please welcome to Chantelle to the team and stay tuned to see her first post very soon.

Mixed Media Love

Good Morning today we are sharing a stunning mixed media piece by the very talented Anne Marie.

Although I am mostly a Project Life style scrapbooker these days I do still love getting messy with my creating every so often. I had the pleasure and privilege of attending Louise Nelson’s Perth classes in August. The woman is a veritable font of inspiration and I enjoyed the experience immensely.

It reignited my passion for more daring creative pursuits. I’ll be the first to admit that I may have gotten a little carried away with this one… but I just love the rich, grungy end result. Gesso, crackle medium, ink sprays, glass beads and splatter... everywhere! I’ve always been a bit of a more is more person when it comes to this sort of LO.  More frames, flowers and twine and another old photo of me and my love.

Hello Sunshine

Good morning, Rikki here, a couple Friday's ago  was a busy day here, Sports Carnival and we had a great, intimate meeting with Amy Tangerine (Mandurah Spotlight, there was about 12 people there). After that I felt like I had a mojo boost !!! On Saturday I was very lucky to have a scrap day with my girls, I made a choice not to do design team work.... even though I love it. I decided that it was time to play and have some fun with some challenges.

I saw this Kraft + challenge come across my Facebook feed a few days before and I had a vision on the Saturday morning about 3 am as you do.... I am sure I am not alone? Whats better than Kraft cardstock? Amy Tangerine Kraft paper of course WITH THE AWESOME NEW BOHO Chippies !!!

Here was the sketch:
